An award-winning Cornish firm is celebrating after breaking into the top three independent financial advisers in the country for its investment portfolio.
Worldwide Financial Planning now have the third largest amount of funds invested in Financial giant Standard Life’s Wrap platform.
Managing director, Peter McGahan, puts the company’s success down to tough investment conditions which have driven customers away from the generalist financial adviser to the specialist investment advisers.
“It was fantastic news when we found out that we’d moved up to third in Standard Life’s Wrap investment table,” said Worldwide’s managing director, Peter McGahan.
“All our financial advisers were over the moon when I told them.
“The team all work really hard to invest in the right areas for our clients’ wishes.”
Covering IFAs across the whole of the UK, Worldwide were one of the first across the country to be invited to use the new Wrap system.
“Our advisers have now got a year’s experience in the Wrap platform, which brings all investments together in one place,” said Peter.
“The fact that we’re now ahead of some of the largest firms in the country, and from a base in Cornwall rather than London, really shows that you can be the best and be based here.
“However, we need to keep working hard as we’re aiming to be number one.”
