Hot on the heels of two recent nominations a firm of independent financial advisers in Cornwall is in the running for success in another trio of awards.
Peter McGahan, managing director of Truro and Wadebridge based Worldwide Financial Planning has been shortlisted in three categories at the Media IFA of the Year Awards.
Peter, a former Media IFA of the Year, is one of five shortlisted candidates in the Best Social Media IFA category, one of six in the Best Investment IFA section and one of five in the Best Individual IFA category.
The company has previously collected the award for Media Services IFA of the Year.
“Of course it’s a great privilege to be nominated at all, so to be personally nominated in three categories is fantastic,” said Peter, who established the company’s Facebook and Twitter profile.
“This is the first time I have been put forward for an award in a best social media category and I think it shows what a progressive financial advice company Worldwide is.
“But these nominations belong to the whole company, not just me.
“I’m lucky to have a team of brilliant IFAs and support staff behind me, who have all contributed in making Worldwide the successful company that it is today.”
Now in its seventh year, the unbiased.co.uk ‘Media IFA of the Year’ awards looks to recognise the valuable contributions of individual IFAs and whole of market mortgage advisers to raise the public image of independent financial advice.
The ceremony will take place in London and will be judged by a range of experts in the industry.
Worldwide has offices in Wadebridge and Truro and its team was recently nominated for two gongs in the Professional Adviser Awards 2011.
