The team at Worldwide Financial Planning is up for two gongs in the Professional Adviser Awards 2011 due to be announced in London next month.
Worldwide, which has offices in Truro and Wadebridge, will be up against companies from across the UK.
The company has been shortlisted in the Baillie Gifford Financial Education Award and the IFA Website of the Year categories
Managing director, Peter McGahan, said: “The Baillie Gifford nomination recognises the work we do with local schools through the annual Virtual Trading Challenge.
“The project is a fantastic opportunity to get involved with the community and the students really enjoy virtually trading on the stock market and competing against their peers.”
Students are given a virtual £100,000 to invest in the stock market.
Run in partnership with Cornwall Learning Education Business Partnership (CLEBP), the winner is the team that makes the greatest return on its investment.
Peter added: “We’re also really pleased to be nominated for our website – temp.wwfp.net.
“The site has recently undergone a major revamp so that it has become even more of a resource for people wanting to find out about finance.”
A spokesman from the Professional Adviser Awards said the standard of this year’s submissions had been high and that all of the firms shortlisted should be proud of their achievements.
Other awards won by the Worldwide team include Mortgage Adviser of the Year, Business Adviser of the Year and Ethical Investment Adviser of the Year with Financial Times Business.
